Nothing is more exciting than the hidden beauty of the highlands, but still there are more to discover when you explore the secrets hidden within Tagô, a classic Filipino inspired architecture of a residential community, laced with modern twist and hidden beneath the clouds and hilly terrain in the outskirts of Tagaytay City.

Tagô, a Tagalog word literally translated as “hidden”, is really a perfect description for this “out-of-this-world” and secluded residential community developed by Mañosa Properties, a pioneer in crafting artisanal homes using indigenous materials, green atmosphere and surroundings, furnishings, wide air passageways, wide living spaces and other native Filipino designs that truly reflect the culture of the Filipinos. For one, the modernization of the “bahay-kubo”, a classic Filipino household is being rebuilt as a modern contemporary ancestral homes. The Tagô community is composed of 13 Ara-al and 39 Adobe house models, typically 2-storey house units, both indigenous houses with open plan design depicting the cool climate of Tagaytay. Green zones are highlighted, while artisan craftsmanship is definitely visible including the wide open spaces and bigger lot and floor areas.

The Tagô sanctuary is located along Bonifacio Drive, Silang Junction North, Tagaytay City, Cavite, overlooking the iconic Taal Volcano on the south. Much as this residential development focuses on Filipino creativity, its amenities and facilities are similarly inspired by traditional heritage which include a community Clubhouse which include 2 kitchens and numerous bathrooms for large and small gatherings; children’s playground; heated pools for kiddies and adults and locker rooms for showering. The Central Park has a fish pond, garden with green and landscaped spaces for strolling and a great bonding place for the family and friends. House architecture at Tagô represents multiple generations of Filipino designs depicting the whole family as the basis for its intimate layout. Such design include the presence of the master’s bedroom on the ground floor and the señorita staircase (low level stairway) allowing all members of the family to roam around the house with ease.

Tagô is synonymous to a legend, brought about by the culmination of the desire to have a homegrown architectural design with sophistication and with modern rendition and an atmosphere that is so unique, it would blend with the designs.

The site is easily accessible from any point of origin. The project itself is just 300 meters away from Aguinaldo Highway, the major thoroughfare that connects Tagaytay to Metro Manila and the rest of Calabarzon region. The site is only an hour drive away from Manila via SLEX through Sta. Rosa- Tagaytay Road, Cavitex and Aguinaldo Highway. For its immediate vicinity, Tagô has the Olivarez College, Savemore Tagaytay, Ayala Malls Serin, Robinsons Summit Ridge, People’s Park in the Sky, Tagaytay Picnic Grove, El Patio Golf Club, Tagaytay International Convention Center, Casino Filipino Tagaytay, Ayala Sky Ranch Amusement Park, Taal Volcano Observatory, Nurture Spa Tagaytay, Tagaytay Medical Center, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and other establishments at the close vicinity of Tagô.

If there is any residential place where the beauty of raw nature meets modern living, it could never be as raw and as beautiful as Tago Residences by Manosa Properties in Tagaytay City. The place is a picture of a true Filipino community where the usual Bahay Kubo stands in the midst of trees and lush vegetation. Tago Place fits the description of a hidden sanctuary right in the high lands of a beautiful Tagaytay as the Filipino definition of the word Tago means “secluded or hidden”. This beautiful sanctuary is located along Bonifacio Drive in Tagaytay, about 300 meters away from the famous Aguinaldo Highway.

Manosa Property has partnered with Tago’s landowner, the United Pacific Capital Corporation to develop this ecstatically beautiful abode into a residential area. With the help of Manosa’s team of brilliant engineers and interior decorators, everything materialized.

The entire project consist of 52 two-storey high residential buildings, grouped into 2 designs: the Ara-al type and the adobe type. An Ara-al house has a total floor area of 300 square meter in a 350 to 400 square meter lot while an Adobe house has a total floor area of 240 square meters on a 250 total lot area. You can either pick one of the 12 Ara-al houses or take your pick with the 40 adobe houses. Whatever is your choice, you’ll be privileged to live on a laid back house fully adorned with genuine Filipino materials found locally. The exterior of the house is bahay kubo inspired and the interior provides a classic Filipino home touch where ventilations are massive and the walls and windows provide enough way for sunlight to get through the house. This is to lower down energy cost from air conditioning to lights.

Each Tago house is overflowing with the concept of a classic Filipino house in a rural setting so you would basically be looking to an enlarged bahay kubo with modern design infusions. Manosa Properties took advantage of locally available materials and use them in designing individual houses. You’ll find bamboos, coconut, farmed wood, locally woven mats, native stones and many other locally sourced materials were used to provide a jiving inside-out consistency. Do you know that priceless feeling where your house stands against the backdrop of a green surrounding and the cool oxygen that these plants breath goes in and out of your very home? That feeling is splendid.

A Tago house features an enlarged version of the classic bahay kubo with its modern touch. The ceilings are high for ample ventilation, the stairs are patterned with the senorita steps and the kitchen showcases a beautiful replica of what an old banggerahan is in a typical bahay kubo, it is here where dishes are left to dry up after washing them. To incorporate a modern touch, the normal wooden rack where plates are lined up is right above the wash basin are replaced with a long single deck stainless rack. And the wash basin itself is also replaced with same stainless steel and non- bacterial materials. In addition, laminated overhead cabinets, which are wall mounted to provide more space for storage purposes just like in any functional pantry. The living and bedrooms have relatively wider doors and most panes are made of framed glasses which can be easily lifted to open to let air and sunlight come in freely. Bedrooms have built-in or wall mounted cabinets with locally weaved materials serving as wall papers, including the ceilings.  An in every aspect of the house, wherever you’ll turn your head to, you will see how creatively natured was fused with technology.

Tago community is a perfect picture of an ideal Filipino community with the adaptation of the old kubo style house designs. From roofing engineering to house steps and interior divisions, everything is a Pinoy classic. Patterned pebbles lining up along main entrance (locally available), weaved rattan and buri leaves that adorn the ceilings of the living room and the master’s bedroom, you’ll truly love the way everything was integrated. All front panel doors are varnished and treated solid woods, either locally farmed or sourced as recycled solid woods.

Despite the fact that Tago residences is located off plain sight, nice access roads to and from the community reasonably shortens its distance to commercial districts (within Tagaytay City and nearby towns and cities) where fine dining and convenient shopping can be done. Nothing comes close to the towering beauty of Tago community which has an overlooking view of the famous Taal Lake and the pleasure of a cooler environment due to the massive vegetation of the hills.
